Your cash register is the beating heart of your store. But how do you actually install it? We'll explain that below.
Your complete cash register system consists of multiple components. It's handy to have a designated spot ready where you want to set up the system. Also, you'll need several available power outlets and internet connections. If you have only one internet connection, you can use a switch to easily expand the number of connections.
Below, we'll explain how to install each component:

- Place the cash register in your desired location.
- Plug it into a power outlet.
- Connect the internet cable (RJ45) to the cash register.
Cash Drawer:
- Ensure the cash drawer stands securely on its four feet.
- If it's automatic, plug the small connector on the flat cable into the receipt printer.

- Connect an internet cable to the 'Ethernet' port of the terminal.
Receipt Printer: Via USB:

Via network cable:
- Insert a receipt roll into the printer.
- Connect a network cable to the printer.
- Plug the power cable into the printer while holding down the 'feed button' until a test receipt prints, showing the IP address.
- Enter the IP address of the printer in StoreKeeper settings on the cash register.
Hand Scanner: Wired:
- Connect the USB cable of the scanner to the back of the cash register. Wireless:
- Connect the scanner's dongle to the back of the cash register.
Scale:
- Install the scale and ensure it's level.

- Plug it into a power outlet.
- Set the scale protocol to 'Portugal' in StoreKeeper settings on the cash register.
