Suppose a company would like to purchase multiple gift cards and would like an invoice for them. How do you do that? This is made clear below.
(You only need to complete steps 1 to 8 once. If you've already done this, you can proceed directly to step 9!)
- Go to your Backoffice
- Go to Products
- Click the +Add button in the upper right corner
- Give the product a recognizable name (e.g., “Gift Cards”)
- Under the “Prices” section, you’ll find the settings button (gear icon) in the upper right corner
- Select: [0%] World (special: VAT not applicable)
- Scroll down one section and change “Stock behavior” to “Unlimited”
- To distinguish the gift cards from other products, place them in their own revenue group. You can do this in the upper right under “Product Information”
(Trouble creating revenue groups? The article: "How to create a revenue group?” can help you!)
- Click “Create Product” in the upper right
- Now that you have created the "Gift Cards" product, you can use it for invoices.
- In the left menu, click “Order Request” (under “Sales Channels”)
- Click the +Add button in the upper right
- Add the product you just created.
- You will now see the product with columns including “Price” and “Quantity”
- Click on the product, and a menu will appear.
- Change the “Original price” to the price of the gift card.
- Change the quantity to the correct number.
- Add the customer to the order request in the upper right.
- Click “Create New Order” in the lower right
- You will now be redirected to your order.
- At the top, you have a bar with options including Invoice, Cancel, and Resend Order Request.
- Click “Invoice” to create an invoice. The button will change to the name of the invoice. Click it again to view the invoice.
- You can now send your invoice.
