How to restore a transaction on your mobile PIN device

"There is an open pin transaction that needs to be restored.", what now? You can read about it below.

Sometimes, the mobile terminal A920 or A77 may encounter a 'stuck' transaction. If this happens, payments cannot be processed via StoreKeeper anymore. Although inconvenient, this issue is fortunately easy to resolve. When you receive the message "There is an open PIN transaction that needs to be restored," follow these steps:

  • Open the 'Salespoint' or 'Paystart' app.
  • You will receive the following notification:

'Issue with previous transaction.

An issue occurred with the previous transaction performed on the payment terminal. We are attempting to process the transaction correctly. It concerns this payment: (details of the payment).

  • Click on "Cancel and start a new transaction."
  • You will receive the message: 'Are you sure you want to cancel the previous transaction? No receipt will be printed.'
  • Click on "Yes, cancel."

The transaction is now removed. To ensure that the terminal functions properly again, you can follow these steps:

  • Enter €0.01 as the amount.
  • Click on 'checkout'.

If the transaction is successful, the terminal is working properly again!

If the terminal still doesn't function properly, we need to resolve the 'payment status' in StoreKeeper.

  • Go to your back office and select 'orders.'
  • Find the order that is 'stuck' and click on it.
  • Scroll down to the 'Payments' section. There you will find a green bar with "Resolve payment status." Click on it.
  • A new screen will appear with 'Manually resolve payment.'
  • Check "I have manually confirmed the payment status" and then choose "Mark transaction as successful" or "Mark transaction as failed."
